Gel Manicure With Regular Nail Polish

I love gel manicures, but they can get pretty expensive.  When you go the nail salon a few times a month it can add up, so I decided to try it at home.  I was going to get they whole Gelish nail system including the polishes, but I realized that I would to have to build a whole new gel polish collection.  Instead I found a way to use the polish I already had to get a more durable gel style manicure.

This is what you will need:

Gelish Top it Off
Gelish Foundation Gel
Nail Polish of your choice
Rubbing Alcohol
Cotton Balls or paper towel
36w UV Nail Lamp

Prep your nails as you normally would before polish by filing, buffing, removing cuticles etc.
Make sure that all nail polish is removed.

Soak a cotton ball or paper towel in alcohol and wipe down the nails.  This step takes the place of the Gelish PH Prep step and its much cheaper J

Apply a thin layer of the Gelish Foundation Gel to the nails then place hand into UV lamp system for 1 minute.  When complete the nails will feel tacky.  To remove this soak another cotton ball in alcohol and wipe down nails.

Apply nail polish color of your choice.  Apply one or 2 coats of polish.  Let polish dry for at least 5 minutes.

Apply 1 coat of the Gelish Top it Off.  Place hand in UV Lamp System for 2-3 minutes.  When complete your nails will feel tacky.  To remove soak another cotton ball in alcohol and wipe nails.

You’re done!  Gel style manicure for much less.
